What to know before you start your build and which 700 model to Purchase.
  • Barrel length?  20″ – 26″  How far do you want to reach out and touch someone? Longer = Farther.  20″ is good to 600 meters. In the right hands 26″ will hit 1000 meters.
  • Which caliber to choose?  Tactical = 223 Remington and 308 Win. Long distance flat trajectory 300 Win Mag or 338 Lapua.
  • Long action or short action? Shorter rounds .223/5.56mm, 308 Win & 243 are short action. .30-06, .270, 300 Win Mag & longer rounds are usually long actions.
  • Best bang for the buck.
